Bwindi National Park is considered the most diverse forest in Uganda. The area is one of the richest ecosystems in East Africa. The park contains almost one half of the world’s population of the endangered Mountain Gorilla, making it an extremely valuable conservation site. Bwindi is also home to several endangered bird species and acts as an important catchment area for many rivers. This short 4-day fly-in safari includes flights over the beautiful highlands of Uganda, boasting incredible scenery, and a drive from the airstrip via local villages to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – from where you will be able enjoy a thrilling visit with the Mountain Gorillas. Guests are pick up from Entebbe and transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Kihihi. On arrival, guests are transferred to Buhoma Lodge, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Day two consists of a full day of gorilla tracking. On day three, there is an optional second trek, community walk, and forest walk. The night is spent Buhoma Lodge, before returning to Entebbe the next day.
