Tanzania Wild Side Camping Safari
Experience a safari adventure in the heart of wild Africa! This 7-day camping safari has it all- superb wildlife-viewing, breathtaking landscapes, meeting the warm locals and seeing out-of-the-way places. Nights are spent in simple campsites with basic facilities. These include two-person dome tents, comfortable sleeping mats, and communal ablution facilities. This adds to the authentic wilderness atmosphere of the experience.
The tour starts in northern Tanzania, in Tarangire National Park, known for its enormous elephant herds. You then travel through the African Rift Valley, with wonderful views of Ol Doinyo Lengai (“The Holy Mountain” of the Masai) in the distance. You drive past small Masai villages, and join a Masai guide on a thrilling waterfall hike. Look out for the unique sight of thousands of flamingos on Lake Natron.
Next, you head to one of the world's most famous wildlife sanctuaries- the Serengeti. The endless plains and incredible diversity of wildlife is truly breathtaking. If you book during the right time of year, you may have the chance to witness the phenomenal Great Migration.
The last stop on the tour is the Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site. This 600m-deep collapsed volcano is 19km wide and is home to an array of wildlife species, including the Big 5.
