This tour takes guests on a safari adventure through Tanzania’s amazing wild game reserves. It visits the famous Serengeti plains, the fascinating Ngorongoro Crater, and the breathtaking Lake Manyara National Park. It is available in either 3 night/4 day or 5night/6day options. The tour starts with lunch in Arusha, before proceeding to the parks. Lake Manyara National Park is an exquisite reserve, whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. In Serengeti National Park, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives over the endless plains, with a chance to spot great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. In the Ngorongoro, you will visit Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. You will also descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forests that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake, where you can see flamingos, and the open savannah, where lions hunt for food. Nights are spent at luxury lodges in the parks.
