This camping tour takes guests on a safari tour of Tanzania’s famous Serengeti region, in the form of “budget camping”. Budget camping is ideal for those who like to “rough it”. A two-man tent is provided, with blankets, bed sheets and pillows. Sleeping bags are available for hire, although most guests prefer bringing their own. A safari vehicle tows a trailer carrying camping equipment and provisions. All preparations for setting up the camp are made on arrival at the campsite. Three meals a day are provided. The tour takes you through Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions and a host of other wildlife. It then moves onto the famous plains of the Serengeti, where herds of wildebeest, zebra, lions and cheetah roam. Lastly, you will visit the Ngorongoro, where you will have a chance to see old archaeological sites, and the Olduvai Gorge. You will also descend to the floor of the crater itself for spectacular game-viewing. The tour ends in Arusha.
