Ngorongoro & Manyara Budget Camping Tour
This budget-friendly camping tour takes guests on a camping safari adventure through Tanzania. It starts off with a delicious lunch in Arusha, before guests head off to Karatu, where the night is spent under canvas. Guests are taken into the Ngorongoro Crater, descending 2000 feet to the floor of the crater to explore the forests that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake, where you see flamingos, and the open savannah, where lions hunt for food. The tour also visits Lake Manyara National Park, whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. It ends off with lunch in Arusha. Budget camping is the ideal way for those who like to “rough it”. A two-man tent for accommodation is provided- mattresses are laid on the sewn-in groundsheet. Blankets, bed sheets and pillows are provided. Sleeping bags are available for hire although most guests prefer bringing their own. A safari vehicle tows a trailer carrying camping equipment and provisions. All preparations for setting up the camp are made on arrival at the campsite. The cook prepares three meals a day.
