Kruger Horseback Safaris
Experience the wilderness in a truly unique and unforgettable way- on horseback! South Africa's Kruger region is famous worldwide for being one of the world's best safari and wildlife destinations- however, most people will explore the region on a classic game drive safari. These horseback tours provide a different perspective and allow you to experience the bush in a whole new way. These tours are conducted within the Selwane Nature Reserve within the Letaba Valley, just outside the main Kruger National Park. The tours are ideal for beginners and younger riders, as the reserve is not home to dangerous predators or larger game. Guests who also wish to view larger game species can choose to participate in the longer itinerary options, which include open-vehicle game drives within the Kruger Park itself. Guests can choose between 3-, 4-, and 5-night packages options, with the 5-night option including a memorable night spent out under the stars. Accommodation on the tour is rustic yet comfortable, running on solar power and using donkey boilers for showers, adding to the bushveld atmosphere. There is also the option of a special 7-night itinerary, in which guests can choose to spend 2 nights at 3-, 4-, or 5-star lodges.
