Visit Madagascar, one of the world’s most unique and diverse nature destinations. This amazing African island is dubbed the “eighth continent”, due to its staggering abundance of biodiversity.
On this tour, you have the chance to explore the eastern coast of the Island. Enjoy easy access to the national parks. You will encounter the lemur, Madagascar’s most iconic endemic animal. In Analamazaotra Park, you’ll find the largest lemur in Madagascar, the indri-indri. It emits a scream audible kilometers away. The park is home to other species of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs, and many species of birds and reptiles. You will also see endemic flora, such as the “traveller’s tree” or Ravinala, and more than 100 species of orchids. In Andasibe National park, you’ll find the elusive aye-aye lemur.
You’ll cross the Pangalane Channel, a waterway lined with primary forests and aquatic plants, and encounter fishermen and villagers on the banks of the canal. You’ll take a city tour of the capital, Antananarivo.
Finally, you can opt to end off the exciting tour with a relaxing beach stay in Sainte Marie, a true sanctuary of nature. It is home to primitive forests, flowers, waterfalls, and a beautiful seabed. From July to September, you can see humpback whales come to breed and give birth to their calves.

Why we like it

The tour is a moderate length that still allows you to see the best sights and sounds of Madagascar's eastern coast. A week of adventure and unique experiences is topped off by a relaxing beach stay.
