Aspect V: Aspects of the Lowveld
The Lowveld is South Africa’s wild heart. It is a low-lying region of magnificent savannah woodland interspersed by rocky outcrops and flanked by majestic mountain ranges. Restricted to broad valleys below 1000m above sea level, the Lowveld is what many people consider to be the "real" Africa. In this subtropical climate, broad-leaved trees and thorn trees co-exist in relatively open woodland, interspersed with long grass and lots of game. It is here that you will find South Africa’s crown jewel: the Kruger National Park and surrounding private nature reserves, making up the Greater Kruger region. There is also the breathtaking Panorama Route, including the magnificent Blyde River Canyon. This tour lets you experience these amazing destinations.
