Ongava Game Reserve is a private and exclusive game reserve in Namibia. It is 68,000 acres in size and neighbours Etosha National Park, which is the prime safari destination in Namibia. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife species. Guests can enjoy extensive views across the plains, which are dominated by large salt pans. The reserve is home to a number of lodges providing luxury safari accommodation, and guests are also afforded the opportunity to enjoy night game drives as well as nature walks- activities that are not allowed in Etosha National Park. One of Ongava’s biggest attractions is its rhino population. The rhinos of Ongava are very relaxed around humans, which allows guests to experience thrillingly close encounters with these incredible creatures, which are one of the members of Africa’s famous Big 5. Guests can even expect to approach them on foot! The reserve is also well known for its conservation programmes and efforts.
