Manyeleti Game Reserve is neatly tucked away between Sabi Sands and the Timbavati in South Africa's Kruger Lowveld. It opens on to the Kruger National Park. Less-well known than its famous neighbouring reserves, Manyeleti offers a top-class safari experience. Great big 5 game viewing, all the general game, and great predator activity make for an all-round superb safari. The terrain is typical savannah woodland interspersed with the odd rocky outcrop, some excellent tree specimens, and a large lake in the centre of the reserve that attracts high densities of birds, hippo and crocodiles. There are three luxury camps in the park that provide top quality guided safaris. In addition, there are two very affordable self-catering camps in the park, Buffelshoek and Ndzhaka, where visitors have the option of going on guided game drives or walks. Guests have the option of ‘upgrading’ to be catered for on a full-board basis. The park is no longer open for self-drive safaris.
