Kalahari Trails Nature Reserve is found in the Northern Cape of South Africa. It is home to various antelope species and around 200 bird species, and is highly recommended for self-catering travellers looking to immerse themselves in the Kalahari. The reserve is great to explore independently on foot, as there are no large dangerous game species. Please note that due to the sensitive nature of the dune landscape, self drives are not permitted. While it is not a typical safari getaway, the Kalahari is unique and Kalahari Trails offers the visitor the chance to embrace the Kalahari Desert like no other.
