Waterbuck Game Lodge, Thornybush

Intimately positioned in a thicket overlooking a waterhole and a small vegetated ravine, Waterbuck Lodge affords guests a real sense of ‘being in the bush’. Four rooms are privately spaced along a non-perennial watercourse and waterhole, each with their own private decks. The spacious, air-conditioned rooms are luxuriously furnished, and the earthy tones and decor aptly reflect the natural surrounds. The bathrooms are elegantly furnished, and guests can enjoy tranquil views of the surrounding bush from ideally positioned baths or indoor and outdoor showers. Being a small lodge, attention to detail is paramount and the service is excellent. The small, well-appointed common area exudes a warm, homely atmosphere where guests can socialize, whether it’s around the dinner table or in the indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Meals can be served on each room’s ‘sala’ (recreation deck) for couples and small groups wishing to dine in private. After evening game drives, guests gather at the attractive wooden bar for drinks while a selection of quality wines is presented to complement the evening meals.
