Twee Rivieren Rest Camp is situated on the banks of the Dry Nossob Riverbed at the southern entrance of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It is the Park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. Activities and facilities are diverse, as are the animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas. Twee Rivieren has a reception, shop, fuel, restaurant, information centre and swimming pool. It is the only camp with electricity and cell phone reception. This popular rest camp offers a range of accommodation types to suit a variety of tastes and budgets including family cottages, chalets and camp sites. The cottages and chalets are available in different sizes and with varying numbers of beds. They are air-conditioned, with en-suite bathrooms and kitchenettes, as well as barbecue facilities. Lectures, slide shows and holiday programs are organised from the information centre at Twee Rivieren. Morning and sunset drives, as well as morning walks, are available, and are a great way to experience the wildlife of Kgalagadi, which includes lion, cheetah and springbok.
