Thonga Beach Lodge
Hidden in the pristine dune forest of the Maputaland Coast, Thonga Beach Lodge can give the impression that one has been shipwrecked in paradise. The lodge, which is 68% community owned, is run by warm and attentive staff who are there to ensure that the guests’ stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. All 12 cabins are well positioned on raised platforms so that the dunes and wilderness remain untouched and limits any negative human impact. The cabins are very comfortable, suitably decorated and face the Indian Ocean, giving those who are up early fantastic sunrise views. The sea and beach are the main attractions of the ideally located lodge - for the sun lovers and those wanting to relax there is a large wooden deck that extends out onto the sand where staff waiter tirelessly to keep the guests contented and the drinks topped up. Those looking for added relaxation can make use of the Sea Spa in the lodge which offers a selection of sea-based Algologie treatments.
