Sossus Dune Lodge, Namib Desert

Sossus Dune Lodge is located in the Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia, a truly unique and spectacular desert environment. This arid desert landscape features endless vistas and fascinating wildlife, and provides an authentic sense of wilderness. The lodge is the only lodge located inside the park itself, giving guests the advantage of being able to visit the famous Sossusvlei before sunrise and leave after sunset. This makes it a must-visit for those wishing to see the amazing Sossusvlei. The Sossusvlei is a famous white clay salt pan surrounded by fiery red dunes. Nearby is the equally impressive Deadvlei pan, characterised by twisted dead camelthorn trees that stand out starkly against the white pan. Guests can also enjoy game drives in the park, and visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon. The lodge's accommodation is made up of 23 chalets, each constructed in an environmentally-friendly way, mostly from wood, thatch and canvas. The main lodge features a swimming pool, bar, lounge and restaurant. The lodge is perfect for couples or honeymooners, as it has two special honeymoon suites.
