Somalisa Acacia Camp, Hwange

Somalisa Acacia Camp is found in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, within a private concession. The camp is situated in a stunning location, overlooking a waterhole, and which is visited often by large game species that include elephant, lion, zebra, buffalo and giraffe. The camp’s luxury accommodation is made up of two standard tents, as well as two newly-added family units. The family units have inter-leading walkways between the rooms. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and showers, and there are also outdoor showers for a more thrilling experience. Other facilities include glass wood-burner fireplaces for the wintertime, overhead fans for the summertime, and charming copper bathtubs. The tents are perched on wooden decks beneath Acacia trees.

The camp itself has a swimming pool, perfect for relaxing between the range of activities offered at the camp. Game drives, both at night and during the day, take guests out into Hwange’s game-rich wilderness. Guided walks are also offered. The region is a paradise for bird-watching enthusiasts, with over 470 species in the area.
