Sanctuary Kusini, Serengeti

Sanctuary Kusini is the only permanent tented camp in the southern Serengeti. Built around a spectacular rocky outcrop, or kopje, the tented bush camp is so remote - it needs its own airstrip. Accommodation is in twelve double tents scattered around the main kopje. Each spacious tent has en-suite facilities with hot and cold running water and personal tent attendant. Private verandas extend in front of each unit. The dining area, lounge, library and bush boutique are in the main area, which affords spectacular views from its wooden deck. Bush breakfasts and sundowners are served on the giant boulders overlooking the Serengeti’s plains. Part of Sanctuary Kusini's charm is its remote and private location within the park, offering exceptional and essentially private game viewing. The camp's communal areas include a dining area, lounge and library, as well as a campfire. The views from the kopje are simply sensational - the perfect spot for sundowners and stargazing. Like all Sanctuary properties, Sanctuary Kusini is designed to have minimal environmental impact.
