Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is found close to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This is one of the world’s best locations for trekking mountain gorillas in the wild, an incredible and thrilling wildlife experience. The lodge is found among the magnificent Virunga range of volcanoes, with beautiful views of the mountains and landscape. The lodge is made up of a family cottage, two suites, and six cottages. They are beautifully designed and have Rwandese terracotta roofs. Each has an en-suite bathroom, fireplace, dressing room, and a sheltered veranda. The lodge itself has a restaurant, bar, library and games room, as well as a special community awareness/responsible tourism room. There are special patios from which spectacular views of the Virunga Volcanoes can be enjoyed. Besides gorilla trekking, a host of activities, including mountain bike excursions, traditional dances, and Golden monkey trekking, are offered. Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is owned by SACOLA, which is a community trust that uses fees from the lodge for conservation and socio economic initiatives in the national park.
