Selati Camp takes its name from the original lowveld railway line that used to run through the Sabi and Kruger reserves. Each room has been named after a stop along the railway line. At night, the lodge is adorned with paraffin lanterns and railway antiquities to create a bygone atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the modern conveniences with old-style twists – large claw-foot baths, antique travel chests and al fresco showers. The honeymoon and presidential suites offer guests private plunge pools and exclusive views. The deceptively large, free-standing rooms are situated within walking distance of one another. Colonial styles are evident in the bar area and the indoor dining area (which was the original kitchen). The lodge overlooks a dry riverbed and meals are typically focused on this viewpoint, with late afternoons enjoyed under tall trees. The food is classic South African home-style that incorporates modern trends. The staff are actively involved in the guests' stay- the rangers join guests for dinner. There is an impressive selection of wine to complement the culinary experience.
