Popa Falls Lodge, Caprivi

Popa Falls Resort is located in the north-eastern corner of Namibia, in the narrow Caprivi Strip. This remarkable area is comprised of rivers, forests, woodlands, floodplains and reed-lined channels, and is abundant with wildlife and birdlife. The camp is set on the banks of the Okavango River, and features a variety of accommodation options to suit a range of guest preferences. 10 river cabins face onto the river, while 6 chalets face onto a canopy of trees. There are 4 luxury suites, and also 10 campsites for those who prefer to "rough it". Some of the rooms have self-catering facilities, and there is also a restaurant at the camp for a catered option. Other facilities at the camp include a pool, bar, curio shop and conference facilities. The region can be explored on game drives, while boating safaris on the river are also offered- a unique way of encountering wildlife. Guests can also visit the "falls" for which the camp is named- rather than a towering waterfall, the Popa Falls are a series of cascading rapids that run downstream over a series of ledges.
