Perdekloof Campsite, Tankwa Karoo
The Perdekloof Campsite was opened in early 2012 and is situated at the mouth of the Perdekloof Gorge in the Tankwa Karoo National Park. The campsite is a stone's throw from the Hoenderhoek rivulet, a tributary of the Renoster River. Stands are nestled among the natural riverine vegetation with Karee, Sweet Thorn (Acacia karoo) and various Ganna species predominating. Each of the six stands has its own bathroom and kitchenette. The Tankwa Karoo National Park offers guests the opportunity to enjoy wildlife viewing from their own vehicles, excellent bird-watching opportunities, two scenic viewpoints where visitors are allowed to exit vehicles, and a number of off-road 4x4 tracks, with two major routes for the more advanced enthusiast.
