Olakira Camp, Serengeti

Olakira Camp is a luxury tented mobile safari camp, found in the heart of the Serengeti in Tanzania, one of the world’s most renowned safari destinations. Olakira is the perfect camp from which to experience the phenomenon known as the Great Migration, when massive herds of wildebeest and other species thunder their way across the plains of Tanzania and Kenya, closely pursued in a thrilling chase by hungry predators. The camp moves with the herds to the southern Serengeti from December to March, and to the northern Serengeti from April to November. The camp is made up nine elegant tented suites, each with a rustic yet modern African charm. Each suite features a king sized bed (twins are available), and en suite bathroom facilities with safari bucket showers. There is also a covered veranda with a chaise lounge, perfect for enjoying views of surrounding plains. Delicious meals are enjoyed in the dining tents, or out beneath the stars, and the mess area is perfect for relaxing and watching the game pass by. There are plenty of activities to keep guests entertained, from traditional game drives, to breakfast, dinner and picnics out in the bush, to visits to the local villages and communities. Thrilling hot air balloon safaris are also offered.
