Set among ebony and sausage trees, Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is a classic tented camp located on a huge 260,000 acre private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. The natural wonders of the area constantly change over the seasons, from lush green when the rain flows down the Angolan highlands, to dry savannah when the neighbouring Kalahari Desert tightens its grip on the terrain. The camp is the home of the unique Living with Elephants interaction program, where guests can experience walking with a trio of orphaned elephants. The eight guest tents are gathered around a large sitting and dining area which affords magnificent views over the floodplains of the Okavango Delta. From the swimming pool, guests can watch giraffe and other plains game. This is a brilliant place to see buffalo in large numbers; with herds often exceeding 2,000. Large wooden decks provide private areas for guests to relax in hammocks or enjoy cocktails before dinner in the spectacular dining mess.
