Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

The delightful Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is a beautiful rustic lodge located on the Nteko Ridge with beautiful views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. Nkuringo offers a superb base from which to embark on your guided gorilla trekking excursion. The Nkuringo section of forest is home to a group of semi-habituated Mountain Gorillas which are seen on most days. The camp has panoramic views of the Virunga volcanoes and across the escarpment into the Albertine Rift Valley. Birding enthusiasts will find Nkuringo of interest as a starting point to traverse the Bwindi Forest and areas not frequented by many other tourists. Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge has a carbon neutral footprint. The camp is lit with paraffin lamps at night and there is a backup generator for charging phones and cameras run for about an hour each day. The camp is also involved in numerous social initiatives to uplift the lives of the local community just outside the park. There are camping facilities available upon request.
