Nkonzi Camp, South Luangwa

Nkonzi Bush Camp is a seasonal safari bush camp, located in a quiet corner of the Zambian wilderness. Situated on the banks of the Mushilashi River in the South Luangwa National Park, the camp is surrounded by miombo woodland and riverine vegetation. It is 1km upstream from a permanent natural spring that attracts an array of wildlife, including lion, leopard, elephant, zebra, buffalo and more. The camp is small and intimate, with a focus on creating a personal and memorable safari experience. The staff and owners are friendly and warm, overseeing operations and engaging with guests. Accommodation consists of just 4 walk-in safari tents, each featuring en-suite bush bathrooms, wooden-frame beds, canvas storage areas, and outdoor seating areas. Meals are enjoyed in the main camp area, under a shady canopy of trees, or privately at your tent. On the last night of your stay, a special "Milky Way" barbecue dinner is served in the dry river bed under the stars. The camp is fully off-grid and is powered by solar power, adding to its rustic charm. Excellent guided safari activities take place from the camp- these include game drives, night drives and walking safaris, led by a qualified and professional guide and accompanied by an armed wildlife scout. The game-viewing routes are remote and isolated, and guests will rarely see other vehicles, adding to the wilderness experience.
