Motswari Game Lodge

Motswari is one of the oldest private game lodges in South Africa and as such retains a traditional safari camp feel, with the atmosphere in camp being relaxed and informal. Fifteen double rooms are located among thick bush and natural gardens, which enhance the feeling of being out in the wild. The rooms are all slightly different being individual units or semi-detached structures facing a river bed or nestled among thick vegetation. All rooms are suitably spacious and furnished in a minimalist style which helps retain the original bush camp feel. The main lodge area is an open air affair surrounding a small rocky swimming pool - all overlooking the sandy river bed. The camp is unfenced, allowing the occasional animal/s to move through camp. The food is a delight. Meals are rotated along a variety of dining venues and are either served plated or buffet-style, depending on guest numbers. A major highlight is the informal presentation by a guide before lunch each day on a subject of interest. There are several information boards dotted around camp, which provide some telling insight about the area. The nearby Geiger's Camp consists of two stone houses with a communal lounge area as well as swimming pool- perfect for small groups.
