Mchenja Bush Camp is a luxury tented safari camp, located on the banks of the Luangwa River in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. The word "mchenja" means "ebony"- the magnificent trees under which this elegant camp stands. The camp is made up of five tented suites, each featuring an open-air en-suite bathroom, and with Victorian-style baths that have river views. The camp's main lounge is built around a fallen ebony tree, and guests can spend time relaxing there between safari activities, or cool off in the lodge's plunge pool. Evening meals are served out under the stars. Traditional safari game drives, night drives, and walking safaris are all offered at Mchenja. The wildlife is prolific in the region, and the lodge's knowledgeable safari guide will ensure your safari experience is one to remember.
