Mawimbi Bush Camp

Mawimbi Bush Camp is a luxury tented bush camp on the banks of the Kafue River in the Kafue National Park and is a great destination from which to explore the south of the Park. The camp consists of three large tents, each with its own eco-friendly outdoor en-suite bathroom. Each tent has its own private veranda overlooking the river, great for game viewing. The main dining/lounge area is perfectly situated with magnificent views of the Kafue River to one side and a lovely water hole to the other. The main activity at Mawimbi is the canoeing safari, a wonderful adventure and a fantastic way to view wildlife! The canoeing safari takes guests through an amazing variety of habitats and breath-taking scenery – sometimes fast and exciting and sometimes lazy and leisurely. Wilderness game walks in the Kafue National Park are organized every morning and afternoon for those not wishing to brave the canoeing and are a must for all lovers of the African bush. Mawimbi also offers fishing (for many different species of fish by lure or fly) from the river banks.
