Lotheni Camp is situated deep in the heart of South Africa’s spectacular Drakensberg Mountains. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and offering breathtaking views, the camp is the ideal getaway. The clear waters of the Lotheni River flow past the camp, while the region is home to a diversity of wildlife and birdlife, including eland, Cape clawless otter, Verreaux’s eagle, and Cape vulture.
The camp offers comfortable self-catering accommodation, featuring cottages and chalets, as well as campsites for those who prefer a more rustic experience.
Besides simply soaking in the exquisite surrounds, there are a range of activities on offer to guests at Lotheni. The surrounding mountains offer many delightful walks and hikes to suit a variety of ages. Overnight hikes are also possible. Trout fishing is a popular activity, and adventurous guests can go swimming in the river and nearby rock pools. The Settler’s Museum offers an interesting insight into the family that settled here in the 1800s.
