Mapungubwe National Park is a World Heritage Site and is home to the Limpopo Riverine Forest, sanctuary to an extensive array of birdlife, and a teeming blend of vegetation and forest flora. The secluded Limpopo Forest Tented Camp getaway is found in the western section of Mapungubwe, close to the Maloutswa Pan Hide. This magical hideaway consists of eight two-person self-catering chalets (perfect for couples), and a further seven two-person forest tents. These semi-luxury tents include bathroom and kitchen facilities, and are also suitable for disabled persons. There is plenty to see and do: learn about the rich history and culture of Mapungubwe with visits to archaeological sites and guided walking tours, experience the wildlife of the area on a game viewing trip or a birding excursion, relax outdoors at the picnic or braai facilities provided, or cool down on a hot afternoon with a dip in the swimming pool.
