Leokwe Rest Camp, Mapungubwe

Leokwe Camp is Mapungubwe’s main camp which is located in the eastern section of the park (nestled in the spectacular sandstone hills of the region) and is modeled on the Vendan Village design. Close to the camp, guests can enjoy the Treetop Hide and picnic area. Visit the Confluence of the Shashe and Limpopo Rivers where three countries meet. The area is rich is history and culture- visit the elite graveyard at the top of Mapungubwe Hill, view a natural amphitheatre and the entire spectrum of the region, traverse the territory once walked upon by the ancestral Mapungubwe People - now roamed by four of the Big 5. The camp itself has a swimming pool and sun deck, as well as a central braai area. The camp consists of 14 Cottages, each with a bedroom with 2 single beds, double sleeper couch, equipped kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning & ceiling fans. Each unit has a large lapa with braai facilities and is the ideal self-catering getaway for small groups and families. Activities such as outdoor guided walks, night drives and visits to local cultural attractions can be arranged.
