Lamai Lodge, Serengeti

Lamai Serengeti is a luxury safari tented camp perched high in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, one of the world’s most renowned wildlife destinations. The camp’s position provides spectacular panoramic views out over the Serengeti’s plains, and is one of the best places in the park from which to witness the spectacle of the Great Migration. This annual phenomenon sees wildebeest and zebra crossing the plains in their thousands, closely followed by predators. The camp’s two sections, Main Camp and Private Camp, consist of 12 rooms in total. Main Camp’s 8 rooms are positioned for maximum privacy, while allowing breathtaking sunset and sunrise views. The rooms are furnished with beds draped in mosquito nets, writing desks, day beds, and mini fridges. The bathrooms are en-suite. The central area of the camp is open and airy, and provides awe-inspiring views on all sides. It is made up of a lounge, a dining area, a bar with quirky up-cycled décor, and a pool. The Private Camp has a similar design to the Main Camp, with its own lounge, pool and dining room. It has to be booked out exclusively by private groups. Game drives, led by skilled guides, are conducted in the park. Bush walks are also offered, and provide an exciting alternative. Besides the Migration, the game viewing in the region is also excellent throughout the rest of the year.
