Walker’s River Camp, Timbavati

Walker's River Camp is a self-catering safari camp, located in the heart of the renowned Big 5 Timbavati Private Nature Reserve in South Africa. The camp is set on the banks of the Klaserie River and accommodates a maximum of eight guests. The chalets feature en-suite facilities, as well as outside showers and mosquito netting on the beds. The lodge itself is self-catering, and features a large, well-equipped kitchen that has a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, and gas stove. The main areas of the lodge consist of a bar, lounge, and dining area, perfect for relaxing. Guests can also enjoy meals outdoors in the boma and campfire area, where they can enjoy a classic South African braai, or do their cooking in an African pot. The lodge's pool is perfect for cooling off between game drives, and also provides scenic views. Classic game drives out into the reserve are offered at Walker's, or guests can choose to experience a guided safari walk. This is a thrilling experience, especially out in the Big 5 reserve. There are also several other activities located nearby.
