King Lewanika Lodge, Liuwa Plains
King Lewanika Lodge is located in the wild and remote Liuwa Plains National Park in Zambia. This isolated, little-known park is the ideal destination for a nature or safari enthusiast. The area's vast grassy floodplains are home to a rich variety of plains game, predators, and birdlife. King Lewanika Lodge is named after the king of the region's Lozi people, who proclaimed Liuwa to be a protected area in the early 1880s. The luxury camp is the only permanent lodge in the park. It is made up of six luxury villas, including a family villa that has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The villas are perched on raised platforms to maximise views of the surrounding plains, and have en-suite bathroom facilities and outdoor showers. Guided game drives offer guests the chance to explore the pristine park, and encounter its plentiful wildlife. Other activities on offer include canoeing and guided walks.
