Khorixas Camp is found in Namibia, in the hills of the Damaraland region. This region is known as an explorer's paradise. It is composed of a variety of habitat types, including semi-desert, grasslands, open plains and dune belts, with ancient rivers crisscrossing the landscape. It is home to a fascinating variety of desert-adapted wildlife, including elephants herds, black rhino, hyena and jackal. The camp is found in a highly convenient location, as it is the perfect stopover for those travelling between Etosha and the Skeleton Coast. It is also central to a number of attractions. The Twyfelfontein Ancient Rock Engravings are one of only two World Heritage Sites in Namibia, and are the single largest concentration of rock engravings in Southern Africa. They provide a fascinating insight into the people of the past. The Petrified Forest is also found in the region, a collection of ancient fossilised tree trunks that have "turned into stone". Here you will also find the Welwitschia mirabilis plants, called a "living fossil" that can live for over a thousand years. Visitors can also explore the gorges and fascinating geological formations of the area.
Various accommodation options are offered at the camp, including family chalets, bush chalets, single rooms and camping sites. A pool, restaurant, bar with satellite TV and barbecue area make up the facilities at the camp.
