Kariega Ukhozi

Kariega Ukhozi is a luxury 4½-star lodge situated on a hill-top overlooking a beautiful and game-rich plains area in the valley below. In the distance one can see the Indian Ocean (and the small coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea). The luxurious and spacious rooms are in the form of semi-detached log cabins. Although not secluded and completely private (as Ukhozi is adjacent to the Main Lodge), these are perfectly comfortable and each room has its own refreshing plunge pool. The food is excellent and the service is of a high standard. The guides are very informative and will share some of their stories with you over meals. There is a variety of activities guests can take part in, from canoeing in the river to mountain biking and hiking independently in the smaller section of the reserve. Kariega is also actively involved in the local community, and has a brilliant volunteer programme involved in conservation and social activities in and around the reserve.
