Kariega River Lodge

Situated on the banks of the Bushmans River in the Kariega Game Reserve is the 4½-star Kariega River Lodge. The twenty-bed lodge has been masterfully constructed with a large dining area, library, TV room and a large deck directly over a slow meandering river. Fishing is optional in the mornings and evenings from the deck, and many estuarine species of fish and crabs can be caught. Delicious and well-prepared meals are served three times a day by efficient and capable staff in a number of different areas, including the outside deck, indoor dining room and traditional boma. The ten suites are well-spread out and comfortable, whilst some have their own private jetties. The thatched suites have spacious en-suite bathrooms, stocked bar fridges and air conditioners, as well as golf carts for those who are settled far from the main living area. Due to River Lodge’s location, trips to the beach are available and should not be missed, as Kenton has some pristine bathing sites.
