Kalahari Tented Camp, Kgalagadi

Situated high up on a red sand dune, overlooking a waterhole in the dry bed of the ancient Auob River, the Kalahari Tented Camp welcomes you to capture the spirit of the land of thirst. This exclusive getaway boasts 15 desert tents, each elegantly decorated with rustic finishes. The wood, sand and canvas exteriors all resonate with the colours of the park. The camp is designed so that residents feel that they have only themselves and the desert for company. It is situated 3km away from the Mata-Mata Rest Camp, where residents can refuel and purchase basic supplies at the shop. The tents in the camp are of varying sizes in order to suit different guest requirements. There are ten 2-bed tents, two of which are suitable for disabled persons. Four are family-sized, and there is one luxury honeymoon tent. Bathrooms, kitchens, fans, and barbecue facilities are available in all. The camp itself has a swimming pool. Guests can explore the park on game drives, walks, and 4x4 trails. The camp is unfenced, and animals often wander into it, making the wilderness experience even more authentic.
