Jock Safari Lodge, Kruger

Jock Safari lodge incorporates elements of a colonial past with unspoilt wilderness. Situated on a 6,000 hectare private concession in the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park, Jock Safari Lodge offers its guests absolute exclusivity to an area of the Kruger regarded by many as the best for game viewing. The lodge is named after a local legend, Jock of the Bushveld – a loyal canine companion to Sir Percy Fitzpatrick. The camp is made up of 12 magnificent suites each overlooking a riverbed. Each suite boasts a private plunge pool with “Sala” (outdoor lounge). The suite interiors are tastefully decorated, reflecting the distinctive mix of regional cultures and colonial chic. The camp lay out is indicative of an original laager (transport riders camp) and has been cleverly adorned with ox wagons and other remnants of a bygone era. Jock Safari Lodge boasts a treatment centre that is fully equipped with therapy rooms. The selection of body and beauty treatments cater for both men and women. The nearby Fitzpatrick Lodge is the perfect retreat for small groups and families, with the lodge offering a junior ranger training for kids on game drives.
