Hammerkop Migration Camp is an intimate and exclusive tented safari camp, located in a remote section of the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The camp's location is remarkable and unique- it is situated on an oxbow of the mighty Mara River, surrounded by hippo pools and located only a short distance away from a wildebeest crossing. The area teems with wildlife and birdlife and is famous for leopards. The camp is the perfect destination from which to experience the incredible annual spectacle of the Great Migration, Africa's largest migration of wildebeest and plains game. The camp features just eight canvas tented suites, one of which can accommodate families. The tents all provide beautiful views of the surrounding wilderness and the river, and have en-suite bathroom facilities. Delicious meals are served in the camp's lounge tent; dinner can also be enjoyed outside under a canopy of stars. Safari activities include guided game drives and bush walks, on which the Mara's plethora of wildlife species can be encountered. A thrilling optional activity is a hot-air balloon safari over the Mara plains- an unforgettable experience.
