Greenfire Desert Lodge, Namibia

Greenfire Desert Lodge is located in southern Namibia, in the remote and beautiful Sossusvlei and Namib Desert region. The lodge is situated on a 20 000-hectare private wilderness reserve that sits next to the Namibrand Nature Reserve, which is home to a variety of desert wildlife species. The lodge's location is unique and breathtakingly beautiful- solitude-seekers will love being surrounded by miles of desert wilderness. This is also a fantastic place to stargaze and marvel at the wonders of the Milky Way- the Namibrand Nature reserve was named Africa's first International Dark Sky Reserve- this means that it is one of the least light-polluted places in the world. The lodge is also the ideal stopover for travellers moving between the Sossusvlei Dunes and southern attractions such as the Fish River Canyon and Luderitz. The accommodation consists of six well-appointed en-suite rooms, all with stunning views of the magnificent desert surrounds. The main lodge features a central lounge and dining area, as well as an outdoor pool and deck that also overlooks the surrounding desert wilderness. Guided walks and game drives, both at night and during the day, provide guests with the opportunity to encounter the reserve's unique and fascinating desert-adapted flora and fauna.
