Gqoyeni Bush Lodge is situated on the banks of the Black Mfolozi River in the vast and spectacular Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve in South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. This intimate lodge provides uninterrupted views of the river from its accommodation units, each of which features en-suite facilities. The lodge accommodates eight guests in four chalets; the camp must be booked out in its entirety and is therefore perfect for families or private groups. The lodge is self-catering, with the large central kitchen and dining area also providing stunning river views. The services of a cook are on hand to assist guests with meal preparation, and a field guide leads guests on exciting game walks into the surrounding bush. Guided game drives are also on offer; for those who wish to do self-drive safaris, there is over 200 km of roads that traverse the park. There are also a number of viewing hides dotted throughout the reserve. All these safari activities provide guests with the opportunity to encounter the reserve’s magnificent wildlife populations, which includes the legendary Big 5.
