Erongo Wilderness Lodge is a tented safari camp found nestled within the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. The camp consists of ten luxury tents that provide comfortable accommodation in this mountain, bushveld and desert wilderness. The chalets are linked to the camp’s main area by elevated walkways and stone pathways, where guests will find a swimming pool, restaurant, lounge and deck where they can kick back and enjoy views of a waterhole that attracts the area’s wildlife. There is a fireplace for the colder months.
The tented chalets are raised on stilts and feature a range of facilities that include en-bathrooms, shaded decks, mini-bars, tea and coffee stations, and fans. The chalets are designed and built to exist in harmony with nature, with the bathrooms being built around existing trees and rocks. There are plenty of activities offered that allow guests to get a taste of the spectacular surrounds. The region is one of the most biodiverse in Namibia, and is home to a wealth of plant, bird and animal life. There are also many historically and culturally significant sites in the region, including Bushman rock art sites. Guided nature drives and walks are offered, or guests can choose to explore by themselves. Or, just sit back and enjoy being in the heart of the African wilderness from the comfort of your own tent’s private deck.
