Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp, Kruger
This small and delightful camp is situated in the south-eastern corner of the Kruger National Park, on the northern bank of the Crocodile River, from which it derives its name. Accommodation at the camp comprises 20 air-conditioned bungalows with en-suite bathrooms, two of which are equipped with facilities for the disabled; 8 budget safari tents with showers, fridges and communal kitchens; and 18 caravan and tent campsites complete with power points and barbecue facilities. The ‘Southern Circle’, the game-viewing area at Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp, is renowned for its concentration of different prides of lion with different hunting techniques and behaviour. It is home to a large percentage of the Kruger National Park‘s total rhino population. After an early morning game drive, one can retire from the Lowveld heat to a lunch of prawns before coming back for late afternoon game-viewing. Guided bush walks and the Lebombo Eco-Trail are some other highlights one can experience at this camp.
