Chongwe River Camp

Located at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers in the Lower Zambezi region of Zambia, is the elegant and luxurious Chongwe River Camp. It features 9 standard tented suites, as well as two super-luxury tents. The standard tents are built under thatch and are furnished with hand-crafted furniture and local textiles, affording a natural feel. They also have shaded outdoor bathrooms and private verandahs overlooking the river. The two super luxury tents can accommodate two and four guests apiece, and feature private plunge pools, fire pits, outdoor bathrooms with claw-foot bathtubs, as well as the services of a private butler. They are perfect for families or for couples. There are a host of activities on offer at Chongwe. Game drives and walks allow guests to encounter the region's wildlife, while the river setting provides opportunities for canoeing, boating, and fishing for the famous Tiger Fish. Community visits can also be arranged.
