Bisate Lodge

Bisate Lodge is situated in the remote and spectacular Volcanoes region of Rwanda, near to the national park. It is found inside an eroded volcanic cone, the main area and villas overlooking Mount Bisoke, Karisimbi, and Mikeno in the distance.

The main attraction at this World Heritage Site is the iconic mountain gorilla, 604 of which are found in Volcanoes National Park. Bisate offers an enriching gorilla viewing experience for its guests, featuring evening presentations and informal chats with gorilla expert, researcher or scientists.

Accommodation is luxurious at Bisate. Each Forest Villa is made up of a bedroom, bathroom, and reception area, warmed by a central fireplace. A private deck provides breathtaking views towards Mount Bisoke. The camp’s main lounge, dining, and bar area also features wonderful views, and there is a also a wine cellar and curio corner on site.
While the gorilla tracking and viewing experience is the undoubted highlight at Bisate, other activities are available and include nature walks, birding, indigenous tree planting, visits to surrounding communities, biodiversity surveys, and more.
