Aquila Private Game Reserve & Spa

Aquila Safari Lodge is a 4 star establishment in the Southern Karoo. The reserve is a 7,500 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness - elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Aquila offers traditional game drives, safaris on horseback, quad biking, 4 x 4 mountain trails and so much more. Aquila Private Game Reserve has two large swimming pools, each with a pool bar overlooking the reserve. There are large dining areas, and cozy cigar bars and lounges. Aquila has a library, curio shop and children’s entertainment area. Guests at Aquila have two accommodation options to choose from, namely the Luxury and Premier. These consist of tastefully decorated cottages equipped with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, ceiling fans, fireplaces (perfect for the Cape winter) as well as mini-bars. The Conference Centre, Boma Restaurant & Cigar Bar, as with the Luxury Cottages, are all built from natural materials found on the Reserve. The newly completed Spa at Aquila adds to already exceptional services and facilities on offer. It is a masterpiece in luxury, defined by its serenity and the creative use of natural elements. it features 2 large heated pools, an outdoor pool, a steam room, sauna and relaxation area, a nail bar, 10 treatment rooms and a domed group therapy room.
