Africamps at Gowan Valley

AfriCamps at Gowan Valley is nestled in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal’s Midlands Meander route in the Balgowan are surrounded by captivating rolling green hills, endless fields, and mighty river all forming beautiful and mystical surroundings. The camp has an English countryside aura mixed with authentic South African hospitality and features five air-conditioned luxury tents which can sleep a maximum of five people. The tents have private barbecue facilities, wood burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, private wood-fired hot tubs and spacious raised viewing decks with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. Onsite activities include picnics , nature walks through the surrounding indigenous forest where guests can see the iconic enormous 500-year-old Yellowwood tree, hiking trail along the tranquil Mpofana River where swimming and catch and release fishing can be enjoyed. The camp is a perfect base to explore the surrounding tourist attractions like the magnificent Howick and Karkloof falls,the Karkloof canopy tour and the the Nelson Mandela Capture site. Guests can also trek the Midlands on horseback.
