Sanbona Wildlife Reserve
GONDWANA LODGE, SANBONA RESERVE
Gondwana Lodge overlooks Bellair Dam and is designed as a typical thatched Karoo homestead. With family rooms, children activity room, spacious lawn, outdoor play area, and a pool, they ensure entertainment for the whole family. Children of all ages will be entertained with an exciting “Kids on Safari” program with interactive activities such as visiting the sites of the San People and creating their own rock art, bead making, clay making activities, face painting and star gazing. Children under 4yrs are not permited on game drives, but child minding services are available.
Kariega Game Reserve
KARIEGA GAME LODGE, KARIEGA RESERVE
Kariega Main Lodge is located close to the R343 main road in to the quaint coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea. Main Lodge welcomes children with a complimentary play area and midday activities. Activities are mainly about having fun but they also aim to inspire, excite and educate and children are welcome to accompany parents on game drives, enjoy the play and educational centre, earn their Junior Ranger Certificate, learn animal tracking and paint bushman art.
Madikwe Game Reserve
JACI’S LODGES, MADIKWE RESERVE
Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci’s Safari Lodge and the Lodge staff are well trained, including them in their daily duties, as well as going go out of their way to accommodate the needs and wishes of both parents and children at all times. The lodge offers family game drives, games room, swimming pool, child minders, childrens menu plus a wide range of kids safari activities to keep their minds and bodies busy in this malaria-free game reserve.
Shamwari Game Reserve
SHAMWARI RIVERDENE, SHAMWARI RESERVE
Riverdene, styled in a luxurious farmhouse theme, is Shamwari’s family friendly lodge and is suitable for children of all ages. The lodge has a childrens co-ordinator and child minding services and offers the kids a truly unique, educational and fun family safari. At Shamwari activities are focussed on conservation and children can enjoy a visit to the Born Free Foundation Big Cat Rescue Centre, Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and Rhino Awareness Centre.
Madikwe Game Reserve
TAU GAME LODGE, MADIKWE RESERVE
Tau Game Lodge is a large 30-roomed camp in the north-western corner of the Madikwe Game Reserve and offers a family-friendly childrens programme ‘Cubz Club’. Kids can enjoy a short game drive after breakfast and once back at the lodge, children are entertained with treasure hunts and arts and crafts activities. The Cubz Club is great for families over the school holidays, providing parents the opportunity to enjoy some adult safari time, knowing the kids are well taken care of as well as stimulated and entertained.
