A country of vast open spaces, contrasting vistas and seemingly endless sunshine, Namibia is one of Africa’s larger countries and one of its prime tourist destinations. The landscape is largely unspoilt, the spaces unconfined and the game occurs in large numbers and great variety with the crown jewel being the Etosha National Park. Situated in Southern Africa between the Kunene River in the north and the Orange River in the south, Namibia is a rough and arid land. There is a deep attraction for travellers who are eager to explore the colourful landscape. The hostile Namib Desert with its orange-red dune fields is the oldest desert on earth and offers a unique fauna and flora experience. Visually appealing to any photographer, the country is more than a destination, but rather, an adventure. A young democracy and one of Africa’s wealthier countries, its inhabitants are friendly and have a well-established relationship with their environment.
